Maria Paùlina Cruz

Arquitecta, recibida en la Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, ejerciendo mi profesión hasta mi radicación en el vecino país de Chile, donde estudié pintura con María Eugenia Matta y luego con Francisco Villalón. A mi regreso al norte de Francia, asistí al taller del maestro Albert Carrier Roca. Actualmente desarrollo un camino constante búsqueda.
El color es el motor de mi trabajo. Inicio una obra con los colores que en ese momento mi espíritu me induce a utilizar. Partiendo de un aparente caos, avanzo hacia formas que no pretenden reflejar la realidad . Me gustan las líneas, las tramas, las improntas. Y especialmente la vibración de los colores.
Me inspiro en la naturaleza, en las creaciones del hombre y en las sensaciones que me provocan las imágenes que veo en la vida cotidiana.
La técnica es básicamente el acrílico, pero también incorporo pasteles, carbonillas, lápices de colores, tinta y materiales para incorporar textura (gesso, arena, telas, etc.).
Pretendo que mi obra llegue al observador, que le impacte, que lo obligue a pensar, a imaginar. Me emocionan las distintas lecturas que una misma pintura puede provocar.

Cependant , cette Maria Paulina est inconnue au bataillon ici, et en plus elle nous écrit en espagnol, ce qui nous oblige à traduire …le traductor automatique!...
Quant à notre ami Carrier Roca on savait déjà pour ses expositions londoniennes, mais pour la nouvelle "Cruz", quelques précisions seraient bien venues. Et en FRANÇAIS , if you please monsieur Renning !!!

Caroline DION

Born in Dolbeau, Lac St-John, Québec, Canada, Caroline Dion who goes by the name of CAR-di, learned to make and love art at a young age. She works by trying to capture the emotional essence of her subjects. Alwaysin exploration, she is doing her best to master her work more and more each day. She has had numerous solo, international exhibits in museums and gallery (solo and group) in Canada, France, Belgium and Britain and now Vegas.
As dreams, images appear when she closes her eyes. These allow a few seconds to capture her thoughts on a piece of paper.

She paints to satisfy an overactive and artistic imagination and at the same time release emotions on edge. Painting, poetry will always be part of her life.

Like a poem, she opens her heart to anyone who wants to read it. The acrylic is well suited to the desired effect, she decides to explore this medium for several years. Now oil, acrylic, watercolor and ink are all part of its means of expression. Her oil painting worked whith a spatula (or palette knife) are called vibrating and exploding with emotions.

Bon, je n'ai pas tout compris, même avec le google traduction...C'est pas inintéressant comme peinture, honnête ...
Cette artiste est québecoise . Elle est venue exposer à Paris ; mais pas à Frontignan ! Est-ce qu'elle a quelque chose à voir avec la chanteuse ?
En principe les québécois parlent français "première langue"!...
Est-ce que les peintures présentées dans votre mail sont des autoportraits de cette dame ?

Bonjour la France !

Notre ami camionneur a souvent bien du mal à vous répondre par écrit. Il comprend assez bien le langage français oral mais il peine pas mal à l’écrire quand il n’a pas ses dictionnaires…Il connait énormément de monde dans l’Est, le Nord des States et le Québec. C’est un passionné des artistes français,( il a visité Paris et la France Sud et, Frontignan même) des artistes américains (Manhattan) et des canadiens.
Cette Caroline Dion est une canadienne du Québec mais n’a rien à voir avec la chanteuse Céline mondialement connue.

Merci pour vos précisions, votre ami nous a présenté des artistes aussi talentueuses que charmantes. Je voudrais des précisions notamment sur Maria Paùlina Cruz, son parcours et ses influences artistiques. D'après Renning, elle a exposé avec Carrier Roca, connaissez-vous les avis de celui-ci sur les mélanges de couleur dans les peintures de Madame Cruz.

D'autre part, si votre ami Renning a visité Frontignan, il connaît le plasticien Carrier Roca, que pense-t-il des oeuvres, de ce Frontign sunny

Quant à Cardi, ses visages verts, surtout ceux qui ont les yeux bleus, me fascinent. Elle ose le vert qui est probablement la couleur la plus souvent contestée. Le vert, entre bleu et jaune est connu pour être rafraîchissant. Le bleu symbolise la divinité, elle peint des divines aux visages rafraîchissants cheers

Voilà, je ne peux pas répondre à toutes vos questions et je n’ai pas toujours mon copain Renning sous la main. Ces jours-ci je pense qu’il s’est rabattu sur Montréal pour taper dans des poëles ou des casseroles comme les jeunes.
Je dois dire que je m’étonnais un peu de votre questionnement car, en réalité Mme Cruz avait déjà répondu à tout, sauf si vous êtes nulle en espagnol et que vous avez fait confiance à la traduction automatique de google dont parlait Make !
De l’espagnol vers le français ? : UNE CATASTROPHE !!! C’est honteux ! C’est vrai que ça ne veut rien dire !!!...

Pour résumer Mme Cruz a obtenu son diplôme d’architecte à l’Université de Buenos Aires et s’est installée au Chili où elle a commencé à étudier la peinture.
Ensuite elle est venue dans le Nord de la France où elle a fréquenté l’atelier d’Albert Carrier Roca, puis elle s’est lancé dans son domaine de recherche personnel…

Et je comprends aussi votre affolement en lisant la traduction du nom de notre artiste Albert Carrier Roca qui devient, tenez-vous fermement :Rocher Transporteur Albert !!!!!!!!!
La machine à traduire a tenté un mixt hispano-français…si bien que : Roca devient « Rocher », Carrier devient… : Transporteur (anglais) et seul le prénom maintenu reste correct !!!
C’EST VRAIMENT N’IMPORTE QUOI !!!
Pour les questions couleurs et parcours, elle en parle aussi Mme Cruz ; mais j’espère que chez vous Make ou Albararoc complèteront mieux que moi.

« Je pense appartenir à cette génération d’artistes plasticiens qui ont choisi d’abandonner, après les avoir pratiqué, les règles traditionnelles de la sculpture et de la peinture pour découvrir de nouvelles formes générées par des techniques et des matériaux d’aujourd’hui.
La singularité de ma démarche consiste aussi à proposer de nouveaux rapports entre l’art et la réalité, pour aboutir à une œuvre qui vit de sa vie propre et développe la logique d’un langage autonome totalement nouveau.
Ce langage est fondamentalement tributaire de la forme et de l’agencement des volumes donc de la lumière qui devient la secrète pourvoyeuse « d’accidents contrôlés ».
Lumière affinée, réfractée par mon prisme « mental », éclairé par ma zone gardienne de rêves …lumière intérieure redéployant toute chose pour l’habiller d’une nouvelle spiritualité.
Travail hors des modes et hors du temps pour donner corps à un monde parallèle où les apparences sont poétisées dans des matières et matériaux, crépis, bois, toiles, enduits, peintures etc qui, par delà les servitudes qu’elles imposent, dévoilent ainsi mon rêve éveillé correspondant parfaitement au besoin de m’exprimer et de créer.
Pour moi, « sculpter la lumière, c’est conserver la trace du rêve »…
Dans chacune de mes compositions en relief, l’évidence et le mystère d’une autre dimension se conjuguent intimement dans un espace empreint d’une intense poésie.
Je me sers de la couleur pour inscrire la forme dans un espace, pour mieux affirmer la présence et les volumes des formes afin de pallier à l’absence de troisième dimension inhérente à la technique du bas-relief.
Si les formes que je propose sont plus rêvées que réalistes, elles s’animent dans un troublant clair-obscur et nous transportent au cœur de nos propres rêves qui semblent, soudainement, contenir toutes les énigmes du monde.
En y regardant bien, vous conviendrez que je suis non seulement indifférent aux influences, aux modes dites « contemporaines » mais également…au « style ».
Mes compositions peuplées de femmes préfèrent tout simplement l’ambiance « poétique » chargée de symboles au vérisme charnel ou à la verve voluptueuse. »

Comme le remarquait Edgar Allan Poe : « Ceux qui rêvent éveillés ont conscience de mille choses qui échappent à ceux qui ne rêvent qu’endormis »…

Drawings

This current body of drawings are a combination of pen, ink, acrylic and colored pencil on mylar. The mylar creates a deep, milky, smooth, white space in which each form levitates and creates the illusion of existing in 3-dimensions. The drawings are created intuitively using only a simple symmetrical structure from which the lines and forms grow.

My work uses the visual language of European architectural aesthetics in their ornate and decorative tendencies coupled with a tradition of dark tales and myths born out of Eastern European life. Some influences include Hans Bellmer, H R Giger, tattoo art, and art nouveau.

The drawings evoke at once an Alien and ancient form combined with a hybrid of plant, animal, and human forms. The movement and repetition in the drawings evoke fractal like structures that are abundant in nature. Evolution is alluded to in the work as each form is an organic hybrid of various forms of life, depicted in a state of transformation and metamorphosis. The insect-like bodies appear to be evolving braids resulting in an overall human shape, thereby dissolving the distinction between plant, animal, and human categories and fusing abstract and figurative elements into one. The ultimate result reflects the evolutionary process of beginning with the simplest, one celled organism evolving into the various complex expressions of life.

I was born to German parents in Winnipeg, Canada in 1953. My father was an engineer and my mother an artist who had studied under the direction of the German painter Reinhold Ewald. Our family moved to Vancouver in 1956 where I grew up. I was convinced from an early age that I was to become an artist and received my first art lessons from my mother who always told me that if you can draw the human figure you can draw anything at all. In 1971 I enrolled at the University of British Columbia to study art. In 1973 I left for Europe and a period of travel. Rome, Athens, Paris and Vienna proved inspirational and in 1974 I took up residence in Vienna to study art. Returning to Canada in 1975, I spent a year in Winnipeg studying art, then returned to Vancouver where, under the tutelage of the renowned Canadian artist Gordon Smith, I earned a degree in Art Education in 1979.

A future as a high school art teacher was not for me though. I went to work as a draftsman instead, employed with various engineering firms in Vancouver. So began a long period of work, painting and travel. But by the early Eighties the work as a draftsman had dried up. Although my circumstances were poor, I was for a few years able to devote my time almost entirely to my artwork. It was a frustrating period however, and although I made great technical strides, mastering the craft of drawing and painting, I felt hampered and saw that my artistic directions were leading to dead ends. Seeking a way out, I turned to drawing as a way of finding the source of creativity. My images, derived strictly from my imagination, evolved steadily from a minimal, primitive aesthetic toward a depiction of people and environments with a strong poetic sensibility. During a trip to France in the spring of 1988 to meet with my future wife Nadine, I caught a glimpse of Nadine with “a palm tree growing out of her head”. This vision provided a link between the individual and the environment and it was this essential connection between person and earth that laid the groundwork for my rebirth as an artist.

Having found full time work once again, Nadine, her young son Vladik and I set up house in Vancouver the following year and in 1990 we were married. Nadine had become my muse and provided unshakeable support and encouragement. In 1994 our daughter Sasha was born, and I celebrated my happy family life in drawing after drawing. Though the distractions of family and work demanded a lot of attention, the results of that earlier visionary breakthrough slowly bore fruit. I had started carving figures out of paper leading to my characteristic silhouette shape, which is now at the base of all my work. A continuous creation of these collages ensued and established the fundamentals of my unique and original artistic achievement. This achievement was heralded in an exhibition of collages in 1998. It was around this time however, that our son Vladik was stricken with cancer; his battle with the disease led to his tragic death four years later, and plunged us into a long period of deep grief.

From the bottom of this grief came a slow awakening. There followed the most intense and focused period of creation in my career leading to the invention of a totally new and original way of painting. By combining the breakthroughs I’d made using drawing and collage, the figures I had depicted as unified with the earth now also became spirit without the loss of their physical earth-bound nature. In 2005 an exhibition of large scale paintings proved very successful and demonstrated mastery of my art and my maturity as an artist. Since then my art has never stopped reflecting this originality and is attracting more and more attention from local and international collectors.

" I grew up in a pulp mill town in BC's interior and moved to Vancouver over 20 years ago. I am a full-time expressionist painter with a surrealist edge. I specialize in vibrant paintings of familiar urban and residential places.

As an avid runner and cyclist, I portray the feeling one might have when moving through a scene. Certain landmarks hang in your head and then you see another point of interest; in your mind, it all seems closer together and brighter because of endorphins, fresh air, and good weather. Sometimes there are days when the ordinary becomes absolutely beautiful due to whatever effects of light or season or one's own mood.

My stylized exaggeration of architecture often represents the people who inhabit the neighbourhood scenes. I personify buildings so they look like the people that live in them and I use vivid colours and symbolism to create scenes that are whimsical and meaningful. There is so much joy and motion around us; my hope is that those who like my work get a jolt of vital familiarity."

Doris SAVARD artist CANADA

Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, in 1961, Doris Savard now resides in Montreal.

Doris Savard has now been painting for over 15 years. After studying in various academies, she attended Bishop’s University where she studied with Seymour Segal, a painter of international reputation. Under his direction, she began to paint in a free and spontaneous manner. Her artistic approach is deeply tied to colour. Her palette consisting of rich, vibrant and pure colours, is fauve in essence. Spontaneity, sensuality, passion and love of life are emotions that are always present in her work.

Vous l'avez sans doute remarqué, je suis curieuse de nature; aussi, comme signalé par monsieur Renning, j'ai cliqué sur le lien de la "Fédération Internationale des Communautés Juives" ...basée semble-t-il à Lausanne !
Ce faisant, nous arrivons devant la lumineuse fenêtre ouverte sur cette fameuse communauté juive; mais pas seulement!!!

S'affiche d'abord le luxueux "TRADING CENTER" et au centre...on clic sur LA GALERIE D'ART qui propose tout un catalogue illustré d'artistes divers: Suisses et Canadiens qui côtoient quelques Belges, Français et quelques autres artistes européens et américains...On retrouve dans les dernières pages la talentueuse Doris Savard présentée par monsieur Renning; mais O surprise!...avant d'arriver à Doris Savard, on croise, en début de liste notre champion de l'Hérault Albert CARRIER ROCA résidant à Frontignan...et qui fut présenté sur ce forum par le même monsieur Renning. On retrouve aussi dans la présentation de notre artiste la reproduction de cette oeuvre intitulée "La Proue", exposée à New York et montrée dans la galerie de la FICJ .

Cerise sur le gâteau de ma petite enquête: je peux affirmer que cette oeuvre a vu du pays puisqu'elle qui a été exposée également lors de salons londoniens est qu'elle est actuellement en vente dans la galerie IDEAL DESIGN CREATION de Sète (Canal Royal, 13 quai L. Suquet)

Bonjour madame Orlane
Sur la photo je dois faire la remarque que je reconais ce monsieur qui fait la sculture a la Peyrade ou il a une vitrine en face du tabac press.
Je l'ai même vu deux ou trois fois tout près aux légumes qui a fermé depuis un an.
Ici c'était pas possible de savoir s'il était juif ou pas parce qu'on s'en fou vu qu'il portait jamais leur petit béret noir qu'ils ont tous.
A par ça il semble tout a fait comme vous et moi c'est a dire normal et trè poli avec tout le monde et quand je peux ce week end je vais allé avec une amie (qui a sa voiture) qui si connais pour voir aussi sa galeri a Sète !!!!!

Pour cet artiste curieux j'avais vu ses tableau à Sète avec mme Orlane, et même dans la vitrine de la Peyrade
Mais je connaissai pas ce sujet assez triste. D'habitude il fait des femmes. On peu dire plus ou moins des femmes alors que ce tableau c'est plutôt catholique avec la croix qu'on voit dans les églises.
Moi ça m'étone beaucoup parce qu'on sait plus si c'est du juif ou pas tout ça. Faut dire d'après moi qu'on a pas l'habitude des choses religieuses comme ça. Mais c'est quand même pas mal même si c'est pas préci comme les autres tableau religieux anciens.
Mais c'est quant même pas normal que les américains et les juifs s'occupent plus de nos artistes que nous ici ! Nous on s'occupe que des nuls comme je l'ai déjà expliqué !!!
